Pencak Silat MASUM 2012

Program : Majlis Sukan Universiti (MASUM) Phase 2/2012

Venue : Dewan Serbaguna, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)

MASUM is a sport events that being held every year for IPTA. Each year, there will be either one or two public university that will become the host for MASUM. This year, phase 1 was held in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and UTHM was the host for the second phase.

This year, I was appointed as a team manager by pencak silat's coach. The team had sent a few athletes into the gelanggang. Here is the list for UTM pencak silat team :

*Zaidi and Ganda Putera were disqualified as Zaidi couldn't reduce his weight on time and one of the partner from Ganda Putera was injured during their training.

Every year, pre-graduation dinner will be held at every faculties in UTM. Frany, the director of FKA Pre-Graduation Dinner Gala (PDG) invited me to become one of his crew. I was in for the Multimedia Unit. I did a lot of designing for the gala and here were some of my designs.

Malam Anugerah Tun Razak 2011

Program : Malam Anugerah Tun Razak 2011
Date : 27th April 2012
Venue : Sultan Iskandar Hall, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Malam Anugerah Tun Razak (MATR'11) was Tun Razak College Annual Dinner. This year, the theme was 'Back To School'. The dinner was held to appreciate the students' involvement towards the college or university itself. And besides, it was also being held to appoint the status of Jawatankuasa Kolej Mahasiswa (JKM) officially.

During the dinner, I was one of the master of ceremony. The event went smoothly during the formal and informal part. The guests of honour were YBhg Datuk Haji Ahmad bin Haji Kemin (CEO Kumpulan Mutiara Motors Sdn. Bhd.) and the UTM Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), YBhg Prof Datuk Dr. Mohamad Tajuddin bin Haji Ninggal.

In the end of the event, I received an award from Tun Razak College which was 'Appreciate Award 2011'.

Student Representative Council 2010/2011

I was one of the member of Student Representative Council (Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa; MPM) from 22nd February 2011 until 23rd April 2012. For more than a year, I learnt new things and experienced stuffs that can't be learnt in the classroom. My soft skills has been improved over the year.

More than a year in MPM, I was the treasurer of Department of Unity and Information.

My portfolio in the department was vast which were the admin for 2 facebook groups (MPM bersama Mahasiswa UTM and Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa 10/11, now 'Mantan'), admin for MPM's website and the main designer for MPM.

MASSA Education and Technology Transfer 2012

Program : MASSA Education and Technology Transfer (METT) 2012
Date : 6th - 11th April 2012
Venue : Kpg Bako and SMK Bako, Sarawak

METT was the first community program organized by MASSA (Perwakilan Mahasiswa Sarawak). The 6 days program were held in Sarawak and I was the director for METT.

This was the program where I had only a few crew which consists of 18 people including me. I also imported MAHAS' president all the way from UTHM.

The activities we had during the program were visiting belacan processing place, playing a few traditional sports with the villagers, building a monument, LDK with SMK Bako's students and more. There was also one night where all the crew and JKKK's Kpg Bako gathered around to discuss about the issue that had been a problem to the village. The outcomes during the discussion had been presented in the closing ceremony where being held in SMK Bako and the VIP was YB Dr Hazland bin Hipni.

It was a very tiring program where Haris and I planned it for almost one semester and conducted all the work in almost a month time. Although, we had a little manpower, it was a success program.

Malam Akustika Aman Kampus

Program : Malam Akustika

Malam Akustika (Acoustic Night) was another program by Aman Kampus. They came to UTM and promoting peace in the campus. I was the master of ceremony for the formal part and my friend Hariz Zakwan was the emcee for the informal part.

Share Your Green Idea

Program : Share Your Green Idea (SYGI)

SYGI was a program that started in early first semester of 2011/2012 and ended on 28th December 2011. It's a program where any UTM students sent up their green idea through SYGI facebook page.

For this program, my position was in the Multimedia Unit. The logo and banner were designed by me.

International Cultural Fiesta 2011

Program : International Cultural Fiesta (ICF) 2011
Date : 2nd - 4th December 2011
Venue : Laman Menanti and Sultan Iskandar Hall, UTM

ICF (previously known as International Festival) were the third one organized by the Student Representative Council. Starting 3 years back, the Department of Corporate and International Affair (Jabatan Perhubungan Korporat dan Pengantarabangsaan; JPKP) would be the PIC for organizing this event.

This event is all about knowing the cultures from the International Students (IS) who studied in UTM. However, ICF did a rebranding by not just changing its name but include all the states in Malaysia. My position in ICF was Head of Malaysia Secretariat Unit.

The 3 days event were held in Laman Menanti during daylight and Cultural Night Life during night time.
